Troop 24 Scouts meet Tuesday evenings at 7pm in SE Portland at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3880 SE Brooklyn St. All are welcome to join us!
Boy Scouts of America Troop 24 is a boy-led troop with a focus on outdoor skills, leadership training, and fun. The troop has been active in Southeast Portland, Oregon since 1917 (except for a few years during WWII). Over 150 scouts since 1930 from Troop 24 have earned the rank of Eagle, the highest rank in scouting. As a boy-led troop, the scouts of Troop 24 have rotating, elected boy leaders. The boy leaders plan and lead the weekly troop meetings and organize troop activities, including camping trips, service projects, and outdoor adventures. They also teach younger scouts key skills, such as fire building, first aid, wilderness survival and foster teamwork along the way.
